Corals, aquatic animals and underwater life are without doubt the language that the artist chooses to represent her work, always with the environmental message implicit.

It is always about the Sea

Acrylic paint, paper, wood, sand, color lights.

Acrylic paint, sand, color lights, flash light, wood and fabric.

The sea is the major theme that the artist tackles. With this installation the artist submerges the viewer in the deep sea where corals and fishes live, for being able to "dive" and breath at the same time.

But this installation denotes ecological worries. There are almost not existing such colorful and healthy corals any more due to pollution and plastics. What Arrou-tea says about her work is if you like these colorful underwater life keep Oceans clean, don't litter, be respectful with Mother Nature

The mermaid floating on the ceiling (or going out of the water) is an allusion to her personal project Mermaids.

Txantxilllo was an endearing man well known in the city of San Sebastian (Spain). Txantxillo, always accompanied by his inseparable xylophone, enlivened the Donostiarra atmosphere of the Old Town. His message to the passer-by was always the same "one little peseta please". The peseta was the currency we had until the 90s and whose equivalent is 1 euro cent = 2 pesetas.
